Meet Dr. López

I am passionate about people. I feel great when I meet new patients and know that, not only can I make their teeth and mouths better, but I can open a world of possibilities for them and ultimately make their lives better as well. I believe that dentistry can be delivered with kindness and gentleness, and I dedicate a lot of time to talking with my patients to get to know them as individuals first and patients second.

Education and Continuing Education

This is a great time to be a dentist. There are so many new treatments and technology, helping patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles with more comfort and convenience than ever before. Since receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Florida, I have stayed current with the changing world of dentistry, completing numerous continuing education courses and attending seminars across the country. I regularly attend courses at several internationally renowned organizations that are dedicated to dental excellence, including the Seattle Study Club, the Pankey Institute and Dr. Frank Spear’s seminars. My patients can rest assured that I keep my knowledge up-to-date and that my diagnosis and procedures are in accordance with the most advanced techniques.

Dr. López and family

A native of Medellin, Colombia, I now reside in Miami with my husband Juan, our young daughters Gabriela and Elisa and our dogs Tango and Baru. My family is the most important thing in my life and they always come first. I am passionate about healthy eating and exercising, and strongly believe in the importance of prevention to make our lives better. Among my favorite hobbies are reading, scuba diving and snowboarding.

My community is also very important to me. I am fortunate to be able to give back to my community and share one of my many blessings – the ability to improve people’s lives by improving their dental health. My team and I have volunteered to serve underserved populations through a program every year, treating battered women and their children at no charge. We also provide pro bono work for people who truly are in need of dental care but do not have the resources to afford it.
